Range of Services

In order to make sure we meet your individual requirements, I offer several different types of design packages - so you can choose as much or as little assistance as you feel you need.

This may range from just receiving an inspirational design concept for you to take away and work on yourself, through to a comprehensive design and implementation package where your whole project will be managed from start to finish.

The Design Stage

The initial meeting is free of charge and will be held in the comfort of your own home, where we will discuss all of your design requirements.

At this stage, sketches may be made and photographs taken in order to help develop the design proposal.

This meeting will help you to understand how using the services of a professional interior designer can help you, and will enable you to decide the level of service that would suit you.

I am sure that you will see the benefits of working with a design professional such as myself, but at the end of this initial meeting, there is absolutely no obligation to continue with any of the design services described below.

If you wish to take advantage of these services then after the initial meeting, we will agree the outline of how you wish to proceed and this will be confirmed in writing to you.

Proposal Stage

At the proposal stage you will be presented with a selection of fabrics, colour swatches, furniture and/or lighting catalogues, as required for discussion and your approval.

Depending on the size and complexity of the project, more than one meeting at this stage may be needed. If required I will produce sample boards which will show visually how the scheme comes together and gives you the opportunity to discuss it with others and take your time to consider the proposal.

At this point you may wish to manage the design yourself. However if you would like further assistance then the sample board, once approved will become the basis of a detailed costing and will be used to agree tentative timescales for implementation.

Delivery Stage

During the delivery stage a project delivery timetable will be clearly defined with start dates for the various activities.

At this stage, you can appoint your own contractors or I can recommend someone to you – however it should be remembered that either way the contractors will be working directly for you. If required, full management services can be provided and any items that you would like purchased on your behalf will require a 100% deposit.

No proposal is set in stone and any changes that you would like to make during this stage will be accommodated wherever possible. Most successful projects involve a very regular dialogue between the designer and the client.

Finishing Touches are the things that often give the room it's personality and sometimes can be the most difficult aspect to get right. I can help you with this by taking you to the right shops or introducing you to web sites where you can find the things that will add that little bit of magic. Well chosen finishing touches displayed beautifully, can transform an interior.

House Sale Staging

The largest investment most of us will ever make is in our home. So when we come to sell it we want to make sure we achieve the best price possible. Most buyers make a decision on a property with the first five minutes of viewing, therefore first impressions do count.

I can help you present your home in the best possible light in order to achieve that all important sale. Staging your house will usually involve some decluttering, maybe rearrangement of furniture, defining the function of different rooms and sometimes some minor redecoration.

Prospective buyers will be attracted to and made to feel comfortable in their potential new home.

Costs

Consultation fees are charged at £45 for the first hour and then £50 for each subsequent hour or part thereof.

Standard colour boards showing how the colour and fabric combinations will look cost £95 each. Deluxe colour boards, that also include suggested furniture, lighting and flooring images cost £145 each.

A house sale staging consultation, lasting two hours, costs £95.
