Have you ever thought if only you had an extra room you could organise your life so much better. But the thought of embarking on an extension with the complications of planning, architects and builders fills you with dread. May be the solution is a Garden Room. Literally a room detached from the house placed somewhere in the garden. They are becoming increasingly popular as the cost of moving home continues to escalate and is it worth it for just one extra room.
These aren’t sheds but space where you can work, rest and play. They are perfect for that separate office space, may be a place to work out, a kid’s play area or somewhere for you to retreat too. They come in many sizes with heat and lighting, they can be quickly assembled and usually there is no requirement for planning, although it is always best to check with your local planning office first. There is no need to decorate you only need to furnish it.
Inovar is a new design of Garden Room that is marketed by Norwegian Log in Berkshire. These are contemporary style buildings that still use the beauty of the log without the traditional crossover joints, giving it cleaner lines and a more modern look. There will be a garden room on display at Grand Designs in May, Chelsea Flower Show in June and at Hampton Court Flower Show in July. At Design by Deborah we have created an exciting interior design, adding a little glamour to something that is normally thought of as practical. If you are visiting any of these exhibitions please come and visit and see the potential of a room in your garden.
